Juan draws on more than 13 years of experience building venture ecosystems, evaluating early-stage companies, and connecting entrepreneurs with the capital and institutional partners they need to reach market. As Senior Manager of Venture Development, he works with University of Utah researchers and founders to develop commercialization pathways, build strategic partnerships, and translate promising innovations into sustainable ventures. Prior to joining the TLO, Juan served as Executive Director at Keiretsu Forum NW & Rockies, where he sourced and evaluated more than 2,100 startups, supported over $430 million in capital formation, and coached more than 700 entrepreneurs through investment readiness and business development. He also served as Managing Director at Exit Ventures, developing a 150-plus strategic partner network focused on connecting portfolio companies to acquisition pathways and growth capital. Juan holds an MBA and a Master of Science in Finance from Seattle University.
