Corey Bingham

Corey manages the university's extensive IP portfolio and annual patent prosecution budget, ensuring strategic alignment and efficiency. His responsibilities include overseeing relationships with external patent counsel, assigning law firms to new matters, and balancing workloads effectively. Additionally, Corey directs the IP strategy for all Technology licensing Office-managed technologies, actively participating in reviews, coordinating with Innovation Management and Commercialization teams, and engaging in discussions with external patent counsel, ultimately approving day-to-day decisions related to the prosecution of the University of Utah's IP portfolio. Corey received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2010 and JD from the University of Arizona in 2013.
