Thanks to our researchers across campus, the University of Utah has become a hub for innovation and discovery in the West. The Technology Licensing Office has tapped U researchers and staff to serve as Innovation Ambassadors to their colleagues. These ambassadors are liaisons between our office, university departments and researchers across campus.
Who are the Innovation Ambassadors?
What do the Innovation Ambassadors do?
Innovation Ambassadors are the primary advocates for innovation, translational research and entrepreneurship in their departments. Innovation Ambassadors are responsible for:
- Connecting researchers with IP, innovation, commercialization and entrepreneurship resources.
- Updating their departments on new programs, funding and more out of TLO.
- Reporting quarterly innovation metrics to their departments.
- Making recommendations to the university to help improve the culture of innovation.
